The Listen series explores the perception of students regarding safe and unsafe areas in Stellenbosch on and off campus.

 

I have set out to investigate how the sounds and the process of urbanization within these areas effect our levels of stress when passing through these areas on foot.

Each image signifies an area unanimously voted as unsafe or frightening by students who willingly participated in my survey. Its design comments on the 

digitalization and urbanization of these areas, that once also were untouched natural spaces.
