Breathing exercises facilitates the lowering of high blood pressure which slows the process through which adrenaline and other fight or flight hormones get flooded into ones body.
The just breathe series explores the visual experience that is created by a range of abstract photographic artworks, aimed at calming the viewer and creating mindfulness around one's breathing.
Each piece forms part of a sequence which leads the viewer through the steps of relaxation breathing techniques. All the viewer needs to do, is simply read and follow to repose.

LET US BEGIN

firstly,
gently place your hand
on your chest.
now place the other
on your stomach.

relax your stomach muscles
and become mindful
of the surfaces underneath your hands

now, inhale as much air
through your nose
as you can manage
and allow your stomach to expand
underneath your hand.

hold the air steady
for five counts
and then slowly release
your breath through your mouth

allow your chest and stomach
to slowly collapse underneath your hands
as you release all the air
now, hold steady
and become mindful of your heart rate

repeat the process if needed
until Reposed.
